Sources.

 

I used the Bible as the most important source of information for writing the topics that you can find on this website. So I have not resorted to any Christian conviction. In addition, I have used various other sources of information for the required, additional information about, for example, church history or current developments/trends within Christianity. You can find these sources in the right-hand column below. On the left are the relevant page titles and immediately next to each page title are the sources used for that particular page.
The biblical texts mentioned on this website mostly originate from the (Dutch) NBG translation of 1951 or from the (Dutch) Statenvertaling, unless stated otherwise. Of course it is known to me that no single Bibletranslation is perfect. But because I grew up with the NBG translation, most biblical texts are in the NBG version engraved in my memory. To find out what is in the original text of both the Old and New Testaments, I use the Studybible, publication of: Centrum voor Bijbelonderzoek te Veenendaal.
